I’m back at it again with a beauty post, this is kinda addicting, and thought I’d share with you some products that genuinely BLOW MY MIND. If you’re into a bit of sparkle (or even a lot) then carry on reading, you will not be disappointed, *WARNING* may be blinded by the sparkle however.
GlitterEyes is a new UK brand offering a range of glitter products from pressed glitters to loose glitter to eye kits, that are actually – get this – AFFORDABLE. I saw endless video’s and swatches of these products & thought I wouldn’t be able to afford them, before going online and realising that I could make them mine ANY. SECOND….so that’s what I did.
The delivery was super fast and the packaging was like nothing I’ve ever received before. I’m not sure if this makes me shallow, but I feel like packaging really is everything, and getting an iridescent envelope posted through the door made me feel like it was CHRISTMAS. I’m not even into the product yet & they’ve already done well (good sign).
See why I was reacting like that?! Not one parcel, but two were wrapped perfectly and partially blinding me. Just how I like it. Anyway let’s get to the really good stuff.
I ordered 1 trio palette of pressed glitters & one single pressed glitter pan and my total order came to £18.97 (inc. delivery). That’s 4 GLITTERS for under £20! Admittedly I used a discount code that knocked off £4.00, so even without that it’s super affordable.
The toughest part was making the decision. I pretty much wanted ALL of the pressed glitters they sell but I think I still had some self-control left in me. Or maybe that was my bank account telling me it physically wasn’t possible to buy them all. Probs that.
I opted for pressed glitters as I feel they’re a lot easier to manage/handle than loose glitters and they don’t need any extras such as glitter glue & application brushes (GlitterEyes also sell).
First up for swatching and all round admiration is the Pressed Glitter Trio #7.
From left to right you have: Nirvana, Shimmering Sand & Mocha Shine. Mocha shine is, understandably, a best seller and I wanted to make sure that I had that glitter included in my palette. You can of course create your own palette over on their website, but I came across #7 and I was sorted!
As the autumn season rolls in, so does the berry lips and golden eyes – does this palette not have Autumn written all over it?! Here are the swatches *prepare yaself*…
I KNOW RIGHT! This was me just dipping my finger into the pans, no real effort was made picking the product up and these were the results. I can’t wait to get started and do some potential tutorials with these!
The Nirvana turned out a lot lighter than I expected, perhaps because the glitter is so pressed & packed together, the glitter turns darker. But it’s still so gorgeous. You can’t argue with that. What do you think of them so far?! Persuaded to get them yet? I’ll leave a link here to their website if you’re pretty close to grabbing one yourself…
NEXT is the single pressed glitter pan that I just couldn’t leave behind. I had my gold, my copper and my silver. But I was after a certain glitter that could REALLY help step up my makeup game, and that was Rainbow Brights!
I feel the addition of this swatch helps to show the silver in Nirvana & how unique the Rainbow Brights glitter is! As you can see, it’s a multi-coloured glitter with hints of iridescent in there from all different colours. If you’re really wanting to make a statement and love your sparkle, this one’s for you.
There are other white glitters that have hints of iridescent from more pink shades such as Supermodel & more blue tones such as Pixiedust, of which I was so desperate to get too. But knowing I couldn’t, I went for the pan with ALL of the colours in. Because I’m reckless like that.
Here’s a little taster of what’s to offer on their website, this is just the first page of their pressed glitter single pans so you’ve got a whole other world to enter just yet. Click the image to head to their website:
So there’s my exciting blog post all over, but my excitement carries on as I’m thinking about some future makeup tutorials to post over on my YouTube channel..what do you think? Let me know!
Are you left wanting some of these glitters?! What colour are you after? Comment below your thoughts and we can have a glitter-themed discussion (the best kinds).
I am so converted to a #Glitterati!
Love Life, Lexi!
